This is a travesty. Will read the rest of the article but hope calling Congress could help.

What a nightmare.

AHRQ is one of those agencies most people only notice once the work stops. We can keep approving new treatments, but somebody still has to study whether hospitals prevent infections, whether cancer screening reaches people, and whether care actually gets better. Cutting that work leaves us with more medical innovation and less evidence about how to use it.
